Our team here has spent the better part of the last six months donning our tuxes, and evening gowns to get into the celebrity mindset for the second most watched event on television. WLS created the styleguide, entire visual language and front-end development for the Oscars/Academy Awards digital properties.
This enormous under-taking was built around four strategic phases: 1) Pre-nominations which teased out elements of the upcoming gala, and told the social media story. 2) Post-nominations which gave users the ability to pick their Oscar winners, and provided more in-depth background. 3) The Live event which included a 6 camera live-feed system found throughout the venue and backstage.
